What a pleasing intelligent question for intelligent people asked by, I assume a pro-nationalist educated supporter.

I hope it will be discused and answered by as many as know the truth or have a yearning to find the truth.

We need to expose the perversity of those who would undermine democrasy and slag off those who support a nationast policy in support of Britain and its peoples.

I propose a cross party 'Coalition National Party' then there's no ambiguity or blame or criticism for policy.

In a "DEMOCRACY " everyone is free to participate in politics . If you start banning political parties that offer different points of view and different values then you set a dangerous precedent for other things in life that might seem indulgent, or wacky!.

The BNP isn't banned or marginalised and is free to participate in elections anywhere in the UK it care to field candidates. Any radical political party will only grow and prosper because people get dissatisfied with self serving governments who don't listen to the people and follow their own agendas,.

If people are truly worried about the BNP, then they should campaign for better inclusive government that deals with people worries and frustrations from the traditional parties thus insuring the BNP never gets any stronger than it is now!...

They're not outlawed. The reason you dont hear much about them is because most sane, rational people understand the BNP are a set of total tossers and retards. Their political manifesto reads like its been written by a six year old and has been about as well thought out as putting your hand in a blender.

Having said this, I do believe they have a right to be the ar5eholes they so obviously are - and I have the right to call them w@nkers too.

We don't outlaw the BNP. They field candidates at elections. They organise and campaign. They are a legal organisation. At election time if they field enough candidates they get TV and radio broadcasts. They have the right to free speech within the law.

But surely I have the right to treat them with contempt. I have the right to exercise my freedom of speech, too.

I believe that the BNP are a racist organisation, who have the aim of removing all non-whites from the UK.

Sorry, if it's boring, but freedom of speech includes being allowed to bore you.

BNP leader, Nick Griffin said:

"Without the White race nothing matters [other right-wing parties] believe that the answer to the race question is integration and a futile attempt to create "Black Britons", while we affirm that non-Whites have no place here at all and will not rest until every last one has left our land."

.... and I am delighted that in this democratic society he is allowed to.

What you really want is for the BNP to be able to express their views, but others to not be allowed to criticise them. How does that fit in with 'free speech in a democracy'?

Be careful about the use of the word "democracy". Nowhere has it really because the will of the people is never really tested. Democracy is just another tyranny - the tyranny of the majority over anyone who disagrees with them. In UK (not GB, by the way) democracy is limited by the party system, similarities between different parties' policies, shortage of good candidates who are prepared to listen to their electorates and the fundamental belief in Westminster that they rule us, rather than they are there to serve us.

The only solution is for no one to vote. That would teach them to listen. Or maybe they'd just take it as agreement, as they always have done!

The BNP are not outlawed or banned so get your facts right to start with - they have 56 councillors across the country.

And they are treated with contempt because they are a self proclaimed far right political party that wants to have Britain for the British (what ever that means) despite Britain being a multi-cultural country for centuries

I do not support them in any way as I find their political tub thumping repellent and their so called policies abhorrent but many do and use the same rights of free speech to rally for them as I use to rally against them.

If they were foreigners they would allowed to say what they like aka mad mullahs, but instead they are put down as Brit' lovers and no one is allowed or encouraged to love us Brit's. I will vote BNP next itme if we do not get the promised E.U. referendum.

I agree, as much as I might dislike a particular party for what they say and believe, it is not right to ban them.
I am not enamoured of the Labour Party, and especially New Labour, but they are needed to counter the excesses of the Tory's. much I am sure a lot of people will say the same thing but the other way round.
