If your quiz average is 86????
and your quiz grades are 84,88,82,90,92,X, where is X is unknown. can you determine the missing grade???

You'd use the equation for the average (the sum of all scores divided by number of scores), and solve for X:

(84 + 88 + 82 + 90 + 92 + X) / 6 = 86
(436 + X) / 6 = 86
436 + X = 6*86
436 + X = 516
X = 80

there are 6 quizzes, so the total score, (i.e. 84+88+82+90+92+X) = 86 x 6
So 516 = X + 436
X = 80

k well u hav to do


86 divided by how many scores there are (which is 6 )
then from there u add each one on and then u find the difference between that number and 86..........errr at lease i thinkkk thats how ya do ittt=]
