The only way to see how a Rubik's cube is made is buying one and taking it apart.
I have seen several that have fallen apart or were broken, and I think that they are very hard to make.

Try to get some second hand ones of different makes, (official ones and cheap copies,) to see if one is easier to make than the other.
Often you can get the old ones at flee-markets, car boot sales or garage sales for little.

If you just want to reassemble a cube that has fallen in pieces, make sure the colours are right, one on each side.
