I remember the embarrassment of the Clinton years..I remember being online and being teased about our whore mongering president...about his lame attempts in office...
Along comes Bush and he has integrity. He has not failed, you and some others just have not realized the fruits of his labor yet...but you will...the question is will you give him credit when the time comes....

I would not say President Bush was a failure--he is arrogant, egotistical and right or wrong he is set in his ways and will never bend but not a failure.

Bill Clinton had incredible foresight and could predict a desired result. If he saw a change on the horizon he would adjust his strategy. Bill Clinton was an outstanding leader.

Bill Clinton, IMO, was the underdog right from the start of his Presidency. The republicans were out to get him in revenge for Nixon's downfall, Fords failure to beat Carter and the first Bush's failure to beat Clinton. America identifies with the underdog and Clinton's successes against the republicans, which far outweighed his failures kept his popularity at a level that our current (p)resident can only dream about. It is Bill Clinton's popularity that will lead to a Democratic victory in 2008 regardless of who the nominees are.

The only ones who think Clinton was a great leader are the true believers who believe a democrat can do no wrong. Guess who told them not to take out Osama when we had the chance Bill He sold time in the white house. How many of his cronies were in trouble with the law ? He is looked on that way because of good press. Don't even start with how I am a Republican who would say anything to defame a great man I am an independent who voted for Clinton the first time.

Because under Bill Clinton, we retired a record large debt and established a record high surplus. Under George Bush Jr., that surplus was wiped out and a new record debt established. Under Bill Clinton we had very low inflation and very high employment. Bill did get us into some unnecessary involvements overseas, nothing like Bush Jr.
I'm not a Bill Clinton fan, but you asked why.

Did you get this premise out of a funny book?

Clinton did everything based on popularity polls. He would do well to lead a one float parade. People liked him because the media liked him. He never led.

Bush is considered a failure by some because he actually led instead of reading the polls. Ask some of the really solid troops who is the outstanding leader.

Bush is nearing the end of his presidency, and he is understandably tired. He has faced challenges that would have destroyed Clinton.

Foreign policy
I believe Clinton would have handled the 9/11 attack much better and taken advantage of world opinion at the time which was sympathetic to the United States from most of the world.
We would have more for the working men and women of the country and less for the corporate intities and oil executives.
We would be more united and the rigid right wing would be doing what they always do beating their breasts and accomplishing nothing if citizens are lucky. It's when the right wing actually does something that the United States suffers.
Thanks

Bill Clinton was a good leader, but when judged next to Bush, he seems OUTSTANDING!

We worked in both Clinton's campaigns and donated to Hillary in 2000. However, we are not supporting her for prez.

Fox News is giving Hillary huge fundraisers - and she's sold her soul to the media and their corporate sponsors - donating heavily to her campaign. So - obviously, she wouldn't be representing OUR interests.

Now you know why the media is pro-Hillary 24/7.

Because he got along with the average Joe. Republicans from day one tried to pull him down and in the end he let them bring in a ringer and get him in a sex act he lied about. Like most men would. He had appeal to the little man and woman even in foreign countries which Our president now does not their is very little respect for him at all around the world. He is a lot smarter than bush a Rhode scholar
