No, it's actually more like a relief. I get excited when the lights go out. Perfect story-telling time. I like the darkness and the silence, it's peaceful. I also think it's a bonus when there is a huge storm, I love thunder and lightening because I love the force of nature. That DOES NOT mean I want to get struck by a hurricane or a tornado though...

I own a lot of candles, but if it's more than a few hours, I start to worry about the refrigerated food. And no computer, no DVDs. Yeah, I can get lost after a couple of hours.

Yes--there's no TV, computer, radio, fridge, etc. I even turn on the light (by habit) even though it doesn't work. It makes me wonder how people survived without electricity.

No ,because I always have a flashlight, and candles, when I feel lost though is when my Freezer, defrosts, and I have to cook everything real quick, or most likely throw it out! .
Candles don't do anything for that!.

Yes! It feels like civilization just completely died. I remember last winter we had a huge power outage . . it lasted for about 2 days. All of lower mainland seemed dead.
