It's easy to audition. And I don't know about the whole agent thing... I audition for a commercial in Las Vegas not to long ago and I don't have an agent yet. It might be harder to find out when auditions are with out one... but you don't need one. There are usually lots of web sites that you can sign up for (most will cost you.) that will let you know when auditions are.

Believe it or not, it does take a lot of effort to get into those commercials. You need an agent to have any kind of chance at success, which means getting jobs.

To get a talent agent you have to take acting classes or get into modeling which means a portfolio and a lot of leg work. If you are a kid, you need your parents to run you around to classes and auditions and agents' offices and modeling look-sees (a kind of audition).

Think about if you are serious, talk to your parents to see if you have their support and then look into taking some acting classes and/or spokes-modeling classes. Some dance wouldn't hurt.

It is very competitive. People would do anything to get into commercials because they think they will become famous actors or whatever. And some of them really do, but it isn't easy.

It helps a lot if you live in LA, too.

You need to have an agent that specializes in commercials. They are hired by companies to cast these things and know what they are looking for.

This isn't just a hobby or side job, this is something that takes 100% dedication and time. People try for years to get that far so consider that before just jumping in.

try an agency in your area. Here are a couple of tips when looking for an agent.

The fee should be no more $50 per year.
They should take no more then 50%
Remember They work for you, you don't work for them

If you are looking for an agent or want to be an independent actor try becoming a member of Theatre Ontario.

As with anything in acting, you MUST have a Talent Agent.
You did not indicate in which USA city you live.
