About as much as he did when he fired over 90 lawyers when he took office.
The Clinton master plan. I am amazed he is not running himself for President. He cared all right. Full pardon for Roger Clinton?
And the others? When he proposed an extension to Presidental terms he was shot down. Now we have the spouse in the running. What happened to nepotism? We really need some better laws on this stuff. No more multiple family members in the White Office. That should make Bush bashers happy. We have Jeb coming up and once Chelsea hits 35? '
It is no surprise that Libby is not going to jail. Atleast his sentence was only commuted for now. Expect a full pardon b4 09. Bush too he fired what 9 lawyers and the country went wacko?! All some can say is forgive the job B. The act was the least of the obstructions to justice and offenses toward our nation.
NO> WJ only exhibits signs he cares for himself alone.
Happy 4th. TY

This isn't a Clinton out-pardoned Bush issue. Both Democratic and Republican administrations have been pardoning criminals for their supporter's benefit for decades. It never occurred to me that Libby would ever actually go to prison and Bush will pardon him shortly.
Libby's probably a decent, loyal Bush Administration employee who did exactly what Bush and Cheney instructed him to do; lie.

The right-wing propagandists are working overtime to cleanse Bush of this recent debacle by bringing up the name of Clinton. So far, it isn't working very well.
The fact that Clinton was a despicable scum doesn't forgive Bush from being a despicable criminal scum. The public is clearly aware that Bush is really attempting to escape from his own criminal deeds -- just as his father did by pardoning Caspar Weinberger.
-------------------------------
CASPAR WEINBERGER, 1992
Former Defense Secretary Weinberger and six other defendants were criticized for participating in the transfer of U.S. anti-tank missiles to Iran in what became known as the Iran-Contra Affair. Weinberger was charged with lying to the independent counsel after he resigned in 1987. But the pardon by President George H.W. Bush essentially halted the legal proceedings against Weinberger and his fellow defendants, as well as against Bush himself, who could have been called to testify as a former member of the Reagan administration. Independent council Lawrence Walsh, who had been investigating the affair, disapproved of the pardon, saying: "The Iran-Contra coverup... has now been completed."

Bush hasn't finishing his "Pardoning" more will come as his term comes closer to an end. Did Clinton care more - or did he need to pay back more favors? It's always about politics - what is good for the party. Pretty cynical - huh?

bush is still in office
and the president has the right to pardon, the problem is when you start using the power of pardon, commuted sentences when it involves wrongdoing in your own administration
can't you people see the obvious distinction here
and no I don't think all of clintons pardons were acceptable, but that does not excuse bush in any way shape or form

No, I think it means he wanted to make friends more than Bush does. Bush realizes that he's not going to make any friends, because everyone can't stand him. I also think that Bush trusts the justice system. He put these people into power, so for him to show that he doesn't trust them by giving someone a pardon would lose respect for himself.

Bill Clinton sold pardons to the highest bidder. Much the same way he rented out the Lincoln bedroom of the White House.

Weren't Clintons pardon's given in his last months in office?
If so, then Bush is already ahead as far as where he is in his term.
