Even the dishes are unsafe filled with lead and toxic glazes. Is it because mega-cartel payoffs to thier coffers is thier only interest. Goods cost a dime and are sold to USA for $5-, a nice profit at our expense.

Good Question and the same goes for all the labor trade that goes on in all countries. Our own Business people have taken out work to all kinds of countries. Like Maytag moved to Mexico. They have sold the United States out to foreign trade. What is so terrible, is now that all the countries are turning against us, they are contaminating products coming into the USA. It is a break of Trust. The other countries are abusing us and have broken the Trust Agreement. So where do we go now ? We need to seal our products, and produce right here in America. America made many of these foreign countries rich, buy letting them produce products for the USA. It is now time to seal that up and not allow any other country to work for us. Mainly the countries who have broken the Trust Agreement.

You probably won't like my answer.

When we import as much of our consumer goods as we do it's probably not reasonable to expect the government to inspect everything. Since China is not particularly responsible in managing the safety of its exports we are fairly vulnerable to importing unsafe items that originate from there.

It could be that the retailers who sell these goods should be responsible for demanding that the items be wholesaled to them in safe condition. Many retailers simply sell the items and pull them when there are complaints.

It could also be that consumers should take some responsibility for their own safety. When you expect the government to protect you from everything you should also expect the system to fail on occasion and you should expect to be left unprotected when that happens.

Product safety is a huge concern, but it is the responsibility of the manufacturer, the importer, the wholesaler, the retailer and the consumer to demand it and to guarantee it.

I understand your anger. Don't aim it at "the government." Our demand for cheap consumer goods has created this problem. I'd just like the government to keep the terrorists out of our country.

It's quite simple. They don't care. The U.S. government is controlled by Nazis and fascist corporations.
