I'm 14 years old, and I want to act in a show that's on the disney channel or something. I love to sing, and I've never really acted before, but I'd like the chance to. The only problem is, is I live in a small town in the middle of the U.S. And I don't know how to get into the acting career? Does anybody know how? Or where auditions take place?

You need to start off by taking acting classes and voice lessons. Many dance studios and community theaters offer these, so call around and see what you can find. Start building your resume by performing in local shows. The more experience you have, the better you'll be on stage (hopefully) Then focus your energy on going to college for acting or musical theater. You're chances are exponentially better of being a working adult actor than a child star.

You can't unless you were on The Mickey Mouse Club with Britney Spears. Disney is in Los Angeles.

Disney doesn't have auditions, you need an agent who specializes in children's television to book you the job. To get an agent you need to have experience behind you. Join your school's theater and your community theater to get some credits under your belt.

Just do it for fun for now. There are many reasons why you can't launch your career right now. Just have fun with it and if you still want to be an actor when you're older you will have had some experience.
