I wanna get a spray tan for a party I'm going to. I can't get a booth tan, I'm really pale and would just get bright red. What's a good place to do it and what color should I get it (light, medium, dark)? Please tell me if you like it from personal experience, if it streaks after a few days, how long it stays and how long the Tan and the drying process takes.

Is there any way to try tan without being fried in the sun?

Hi,

I had spray tanning once and never again. In hindsight I should have done like you have and ask those who have had it done, their opinions.

The color looked like a natural tan but the girl who was at it was newly trained and she never told me I had to prepare my skin first.

If you have large pores the stuff will stick into them and you'll end up looking like you either have tiny freckles or little blackheads...and the stuff doesn't come off easy! Thankfully I do exfoliate my face regularly, or I'd have been in a heap of trouble.

Also, it goes up your nose because it's a fine spray and you can't "not" breathe it in, which is nasty. If you end up being allergic, whoooooooo man. I talked to a lady who had this happen. And just imagine the toxins!

Finally, despite what some will tell you, the paint does come off on your clothes. They say don't wear white, but it shows on anything that isn't black, navy, dark khaki or brown!

If they don't have you step on a towel or something, you may get it on the bottom of your feet. Great footprints, eh? Same goes for the palms of your hands.

Finally, if you have your hands or feet in water a lot more than the rest of your body..ie. doing dishes or walking barefoot in water.....plan for the "tan" to wash off weird...leaving you looking like you have some strange disease! lol

Nowadays I stick to regular sun with a lotion by Coppertone. It darkens the skin somewhat and I haven't noticed it coming off on my light clothes. If I recall correctly though, you have to spread it on evenly over all of your body for an even tan...and you have to not get dressed for like half an hour or more...I can't recall the time.

With the spray tanning...it does work...but make sure the business has been doing this for awhile and has trained personnel. Ask for customer references if you're worried.
Also, watch what you wear..and be prepared to pay considerably more than with the bottled stuff from the drugstore. ((((((((-:

you need to be careful when spray tanning or you might just end up looking orange.the coloring needs a few days to set so yes if u get a spray tan about 3/4 days beofre this party it will look fine by then .and start with a light coloring or it could be overwhelming on you.i would suggest just tanning outside if you can without getting burnt

I wouldn't do it because if it is done wrong it makes you orange and it can drip and it smells funny, i would stick to body lotion w/tanner in it (like jergens)
