what are some oddball fish that i can put in a 40 gallon tank????

Question

i have a sandy substrate, tons of hidding places good lighting some good shady areas and stack of rocks for hiding places.

i want some cool looking fish

all i have is a fire eel and a Polypterus ornatipinnis in my tank i want a couple more cool looking fish

Fish are great, but if you really want something super cool, then get a baby lobster and place him on the bottom, just make sure you feed him, otherwise one day your fish population will have decreased, somewhat!

If not a baby lobster than how about a cherrystone clam, or a couple of clams, just to give the 40 gal fish tank a more realistic look for the current fish population.

Oddball and different by definition often means hard to find, but if you can fine them Anableps are quite different and would be a good addition since your fish are mostly bottom dwellers and the Anableps is strictly a top water fish.

Wow, dismiss that remark approximately getting crimson abdomen pirranha's, get a 2 hundred+ gal in case you like that haha. For a 40 gal there are some species you need to get in case you will discover them. right here's a short checklist of a few of my favorites: -South American Leaf Fish (Monocirrhus polyacanthus) -crimson-tailed crimson eye Puffer (Carinotetraodon irrubesco)
