i don't know how to get the answer for 1 and 3/4 x 2 and 3/5.
help?

1 3/4 = 7/3
2 3/5 = 13/5
if you multiply the two
7/3 ( 13/5 ) = 91/15

1 3/4 * 2 3/5
= 7/4 * 13/5
= 91/20
= 4 11/20
To change 1 3/4 to and improper fraction multiply the 4 *the 1 and add 3 getting 7 . Then put that over the 4 getting 7/4.

The trick is to convert back to improper fractions.
1 3/4 = 7/4
2 3/5 = 13/5
7/4 * 13/5 = (7 *13)/(4*5) = 91/20 = 4 and 11/20
