Help, you might have to read poetry, if you don't like fiction or non-fiction. Do you mean sci-fi and nonfiction? Sci-fi is short for science fiction so saying sci-fi fiction is a tautology.
You may like Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Pynchon, Gunter Grass, Peter de Vries (zany and humorous). Or you could try "In Trouble Again", about a trip into rainforests of the Amazon that is so crazy that is better than fiction. Peter Matthiessen writes good books, both fiction and non-fiction.
Try his book, "The Snow Leopard".
For a suspenseful read, try "The Lost Flying Boat" by Allan Sillitoe, in which a party of adventures fly to the Antarctic to retrieve a huge treasure of gold hidden there by the Germans during the World War.
If you like mystery, try Nevada Barr's books set in various national parks.

If you like reading non-fiction, about what goes on nowadays - I recommend these two -
1) "Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader"
written by Bradley K. Martin
2) "Rogue Regime"
written by Jasper Becker
These two well-written books give an insight about the North Korean Government.
Fiction?
Try all the books written by Clive Cussler.
The hero is Dirk Pitt, with his sidekick Al Giordino. These are well-written.

Try Charles Dickens--his novels are wonderful, though they may take some perseverence to get all the way through.
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde is thought-provoking and interesting--I won't give away the surprise ending!!

You could try some Michael Connelly. His main character is a cynical cop who works in LA. James Patterson's Alex Cross series is excellent.
