he has never done anything like this before. he is shy and I am overprotective but he is a good kid. I want him to have fun and be safe.

Try Western River rafting company. One of the older and more prestigious companys. I rafted the Grand Canyon with them when I was in High school and I am 58 now. So... They have been in business a long time and have a sterling reputation. They also have many choices of rafting trips. I would recommend the Grand. One of the Wonders of the world! You can't beat it. they have a number of different outings for all kinds of skill levels and the Arkansas river is one of the best rafting spots in Colorado!
