Is thiss a complete sentence. Please revise it and want to use another word maybe for simply, but not just:

Simply keeping the lines of communication open between us.

I am telling my boyfriend something that upsets me then I am closing it that way. Please reply soon, thanks

No, that is a sentence fragment. Modify it with a subject or verb. You may wish to say

"We need to keep the lines of communication open between us."

I would say: "In order to keep the lines of communication open between us, I am telling my boyfriend something that upsets me............"

I simply want to keep the lines of communication open between us. or We need to keep communication open...( between us is implied already by the word, "we"......)
