I was 12 1/2 exactly to the day. One of my best friends was 16 or 17 before she got hers. Don't be so anxious, my dear. It'll come soon enuf. If it doesn't come by age 15 or 16, then have your mom take you to the doctor.

I was 10, I started quite early. There's nothing wrong with you if you haven't yet started at 13, there is no absolute age at which you should start, every girl is different. You're still very young and you shouldn't worry for about three or four years if you haven't yet started. At 13, you're definitely not the only girl who hasn't gotten it yet. Enjoy the time of not having a period, once it starts...Oh Boy!...not fun.

Don't worry sweetie, your period will come when your body is ready. It is very common to start your period at age 16. Some ladies start as early as 10 or 12 some start later. Once you do get your period you'll be wishing you could get rid of it! That Ol' monthly thing is no fun.

I was 13 when I started my period but some girls don't start their periods til they are 14, 15, and sometimes even 16.

Beat you all hands down. I was 9!!!

Scared I will go through the menopause much earlier though and fertility possibly already decreased lots? I'm 26 now.

but the answer to your question is not to worry at all sweetie. It happens to everyone at different times of their life. The general recommendation from doctors in the UK is that if you've not had one by age 17 then you should go see someone. But you've got plenty of time till then and I'm confident it will happen to you before that time (and when it does you may wish it hadn't at all sometimes!)

Seriously though, don't worry and don't try to grow up too quick. !

I was 17 when I started, there is no rush, don't worry you will start, you need to look at it this way the later you start your period the older you will be when you go through the last hormonal change called menopause.

Just enjoy the freedom of not having it, believe me it's not something you look forward to, you get bad cramps, bloating and a few other things woman don't enjoy.

There is nothing wrong with you. Some girls do not get theirs until 18. But, after 16, you should just go to the doctor to make sure nothing is wrong.
I am 14 and I went to the doctor because my family tends to get theirs early (8-11) and it turned out I had a tumor in my brain. But, otherwise, do not worry.

I didn't get mine till I was 15. If you play sports or are really thin, you might not get it till later. 13 is still young, some people don't get it until they're 16. If you are older than 16 and still haven't gotten it, ask your doctor. Other than that, you're fine. Also, find out when your mom got hers, and you will prob. get it around the same time.
