Do you remember that T-shirt that was popular back in the 70s? Probably not, but it read, in big letters on across the front "Contents Under Pressure."

I think it is safe to state that Yahoo! Answers is like a safety valve for a lot of people. It gives them a chance to vent and let off some steam, too. If something has upset them during the day, you can notice that in the way they reply to questions.

Because sometimes the questions are ambigious and the answer you give reflects how you interpret the question. Sometimes you write something and mean it one way and someone take it another .I have a sick sense of humor and this can come out wrong. One mans stupid answer is another mans perfect piece of advice.

Why do people ask stupid questions like this on here? 2 points for me. But in all seriousness, some people are dumb, ignorant or just plain rude.

Essentially, in my opinion, people give stupid answers because they want 2 points and don't care if they contribute to a quality, meaningful answer. To some folks, its all just a game.

Two reasons: One, they don't know the answer, but in order to cover that up, they try to be amusing or sarcastic. Two, some of the questions are stupid, and thus, people answer in kind.

I wonder about that, too. I think it may have started when some people started asking stupid questions. You know how suggestible stupid people can be!

It's purely statistical.
With half the people below average........and, thank God, the other half above average.
If we were all brilliant, the averages would still apply, because some of us would be less/more brilliant than others.
If we were all the same the human race would be a big statistical nothing!
As things are, we are collectively 'mean'....if you will forgive the pun.

Because they don't have the mental capacity to post a sensible answer.

PS: I wonder what the percentage is of people posting about getting 2 points - who then find it costs them 10 points because of being reported.

Because..,

Some are here for fun.
Some are here to learn.
Some are here because they are bored.
Some are here to get opinions.
Some are here to give opinions.
Some are here to just get points.

There are too many different types of people on yahoo answers. For everyone to think the same way you do.
