thats kinda cute! creative, I like that. At first I was like eww, but it grew on me. I like it.
Edit: lol how is she going to be made fun of in school for having the name Tamia? Its not like all her classmates are going to know her middle name....sheesh.

Quite interesting--and most appropriate, if that's how your cousin feels--but I'd think twice if Tamia is a boy, because the name has a decidedly feminine sound.
Edit: I have a great niece whose name is Bless--her mother was going to name her Blessed Rainbow, but opted for the short form instead--I'm not sure what her middle name is.

I particularly like the name Blessing. It is a very old name and Tamia gives it a modern touch.

I think it's pretty ugly, but I have seen worse. Like Raine Marie and I heard on the news that a baby boy was actually named Miller Lite and you KNOW that somewhere out there is a hillbilly that goes by Lynnard Skinnard, so in the grand scheme of thing.....whatever...

Well, if your cousin really likes that name, then that's to be respected. (it certainly speaks of a lot of love for her unborn child)
Having said that, I hope she has considered what it will mean for her next child to carry an unusual name like that.
After all, in the hard world of today, a lot of kids seem to grab every opportunity to bully other kids.

the meaning is nice but i don't care for the name.
what about Aaliyah, or serenity or trinity or Mahalia or ahmei.
similar meanings but nicer names.
i agree with ninebadthings. one look at her name you automatically think black and from the projects. not that that's a bad thing. just so stereotypical of most people to think even if its not true. we are judged by gender, race, sexual preference, religion, and even by our nomenclature.
