I agree, I like the crossbow. I have actually fired one, and it's COOL. My friend has one that is small, the bolts are about 4 inches long, and it's set up like a pistol, so you aim and fire, and you can shatter a glass jar several yards away. It's really cool. I also like the idea of the morning star, but, had I been born back then, I'm pretty sure I'd have worked more with poison than weapons.

maby a siege engine of sorts perhaps a siege tower with an battering ram at the base. I would use it to scare the hell out of my neighbors. It would be an ominous monolithic warning to shut up and mind your own business.
