I would love it if the Sox went with a new ballpark. I am a lifelong Sox fan and I love Fenway but it is old. Fenway is a great ballpark and I am glad I have been able to visit there several times. Although, If they did what they wanted to do when they suggested the "New Fenway" a few years ago (which includes keeping some of the original fenway including the green monster) I would have been all for it. Now that the new owners have done the upgrades I don't think they will be tearing it down anytime soon...but if they did anything like this: http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/american/bosbpk.htm I would be all for it!

I live in fear of the day they pull down Fenway Park - it's a great place to see a game, a genuine day out, and a piece of living baseball history. Also, it is so much a part of the city of Boston, unlike so many new parks which are so far out of town to accommodate parking, etc. I actually think the Sox have done a great job with the expansion of the seating (those seats on the green monster were a stroke of genius). Long live Fenway!

You must be a real die-hard Yankees fan! Hey, I am too but you can't demand Fenway Park to be torn down just because you hate the Red Sox. Fenway is a really nice stadium.

heck no. Fenway Park charaterizes the Red Sox, and it would be a really bad idea to tear it down. Wrigley Field and Fenway Park are the last two old ballparks around, and neither of them should be torn down anytime soon.

Hell no!!! Fenway is rich with history and tradition. Tear down the Green Monster?? No way! I've been to Fenway, and it is one of the real, true ballparks. And it's right in the city, so after the game you can walk right out of the park, and right into a variety of bars and restaurants. I love the Red Sox and I want them to keep their home! Long live Fenway! (If they tear it down, talk about a curse...)

Absolutely not!!!!!! Places such as Fenway and Wrigley are living baseball history and should stand forever.

Have never been to Fenway, but have been to Wrigley, and prefer Wrigley to any $500 million ballpark anytime.

no. It's one of the original remaining ballparks. It's rich with history and the green monster makes it one of the more recognizable. I do think the redsox need a new stadium with more seating even though fenway has gone through a lot of renovations.

No one in the their right mind would suggest tearing down Fenway. It is old, beatup and dirty and very small but a fine place to watch baseball.
