Why do you think you exist? What purpose do you have in this world?

There were MANY good answers... some a little short - but still good.... and there were quite a few totally stupid or bad answers.
but after all is said and done... I guess I have to pick the last answer as the one to be "best" as I do believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason... and even if I or you or anyone else doesn't know the reason or POINT to living - we all do have an affect on the world around us. It is a ripple affect. and I guess we just have to try and make our ripples create something meaningful.
Thanks for all your input... I was in the midst of a trying time and hearing all the perspectives of those who gave thoughtful answers really did help me to gain a better perspective on things.
You all have a Great life and thanks again for your answers. :)

The point of living is not something you arrive at. You can always change something, and improve your life. The point of life is to find out who you truly are and to live that to its fullest. To allow people to help you, then to turn around and help others. To connect yourself to those around you. Everyone is connected some way. To end it (not saying you meant that) would be to break the chain of those around you. Whether you are good or evil, it has a ripple affect on those around you.

You can be alive but not really living. The Point of living for me is to be just a small part of something that is huger than life itself. Life and the day to day ins and outs of life can be trying at most... but realizing that as a human being you can affect so many things around you in the small things that you do makes all the routine things well worth it.
As a christian person I personally see my existence as being part of a whole. I see each aspect in my life working towards reaching God's Goal. Not Heaven.. but The New Jerusalem on the New Earth.

To question and learn. Ultimately we need to improve ourselves and in turn, improve the world. That's not too easy though. I'm smart and I think a good person, but I don't think I'll ever contribute anything to the world because I'm just not ambitious enough.

I think the point f living is to help the world evolve to a better thing / place / planet. There is a plan for everyne and everythng, we just dont knw it yet! maybe alians made us so we could do all thier dirty work and build things and when the world is ful t the brim f technoledgy they wil come and re take earth.
A bit far fetched i know but something to think about lol

The point of living is to give a part of yourself to others so that when you leave there is a hole where you were that does not fill in as if you didn't exist. I exist because it was destined for me to be so.

Well, I think the point of my life, personally, is to change things for the greater good. I think everyone has the power to inflict change on something. My purpose is to focus less on myself and more on what's going on around me. Everyone has a purpose in this world, but it's up to them to find out what it is...and usually they're too wrapped up in themselves to see the bigger picture.

My point in this world is to live. Isn't that a good enough one to have? I mean, we don't bother a cat because it doesn't have a purpose, do we? Isn't it amazing that man is the only creature arrogant enough to feel that there should be a purpose to his life?

I exist at times to make others laugh, to laugh at myself and my mistakes. I exist to bring my kids into the world and lead them into a needed, good direction. I exist to be a voice for those who aren't strong enough to speak or can't speak. (the animals) I exist because my parents wanted me to.

I am still tryting to answer that myself. Maybe I am just here to live out this life before I move on to my next one. I hope so anyway. I can't imagine closing my eyes to death and blackness for eternity...and not even knowing it. There has to be some continuance somehow.

The purpose of human life is to search for the answer to this very question. In life, it is the search which is important, not the eventual answer.
