I am planning to host an application for my company in a self hosted server.
The company which developed the appication for me is recommending godaddy, the planet and Aplus.
Do we have any ratings online, to compare these three ?

Just from my experience The Planet is better, better service and tech support. (That's just my experience not a rating.)
You can just do a search for them -- the negatives will show up also.
I take it you are talking about a Dedicated Server not really "self hosted" which would mean you are keeping all the equipment inhouse in which case you wouldn't need any of them!
Just thought about adding a couple for you to think about
JTLNet.com and iweb8.com I think you will find both of them very good service and support and at much less cost than any of the ones you listed. (Just a thought)
