That's really interesting! I believe they put it in the non-fiction section, but in the religion part of it. That way there isn't any controversy.

Just reiterating the Christian bookworm's answer. I also work in a library. ALL religious books are in the 200's. Amazing how many guesses there were to this very simple question. You could have just checked on your library website.

All comes under Religion, like someone stated all in the 200's using the DDC (Dewey decimal system)
If yu had asked this in Religion and Spirituality you would have at least 20 answers by now.

Ali, you would have saved yourself 10 points if you looked in the resolved questions section.....BUT.....you should know..tiz in the fiction section...right next to your autobiography! :)
By the way..was presuming you wanted an entertaining answer...cos if you wanted a technical one...you'd have gone down to the library to look for yourself.
Bible is a collection of stories..and despite where the Dewy decimal system says it should be......stories are stories..and should all be grouped together..or...it could be placed in the myths and legends section. :)

It's probably in the reference section. Also, because it is a collection of stories, it would be placed in nonfiction for that reason.
I guess you'll have to check your local library and find out!
