or do they all want something other than what they have? My husband who I have been faithful to for 6 years lies about porn then tells me I'm the most beautiful woman in the world. I feel insecure about this. I f I was all he wanted then why does he look at porn and hide it from me?

what your husband does is wrong, but that may not mean that you're not the most beautiful woman in the world to him
he just has a very bad habit which you both have to work on
i'm sure he knows you're hurt or else why would he hide it?
some men see their wives as mothers only after giving birth or jus as the future mother who is a really good woman , a devoted wife,and for their other needs turn to other sources .
counseling may help

The question is not related to your scenario so stop exaggerating.
Guys watch porn or read porn magazines for visual stimulations and usually have nothing to do with their wives. Not all men watch porn but most men have seen them, so the question is extent but it has nothing to do with having affairs.
If you want the husband to tell you the truth and nothing but, yes then he lied about you being the most beautiful because I am sure you are not and he knows that. Yes, he is guilty of lying. Give yourself a break!!
You are trying to tie watching porn with what he tells you as a LIE but there is no logical link between the two acts. Therefore, to further generalize that to saying no decent men is as bad as calling all women cheaters just because you know one.

I am not advocating him looking at porn but maybe he has an addiction that he cannot control and he is still in love with you but he has a need to look at those woman although why I just don't understand. Maybe they take his desires away and keep him from cheating by just fantasizing he is with a woman he sees in a porn movie because he knows he cannot have her.

For some reason, almost ALL men do this. And they fail to realize how much this hurt us women. Don't worry, there are decent men out there...though they are getting fewer and fewer.
Please don't listen to lady phoenix...you shouldn't have to settle. And there are men who could care less about porn.

Decent men still exist, the problem is finding one.
As a husband I have been decent to my wife for
over 20yrs, and I respect, love, support, maintain,
communicate, help around the house when it
comes time to clean, cook, iron, pick up my
clothes when I change them, and anything else
to help her out and she also does the same, so
I would put myself in the decent man catagory.

Your real question is why is my husband doing something that degrades me and purposefully hurts me?
I don't know why some men enjoy lo9oking at porn. But if they are totally committed to their wives and they know their wife does not approve they would stop doing it.

You have to remember that men and women are different, and how those differences are manifested.
Now personally I'm not a huge fan of porn, but it wouldn't bother me if my guy looked at it, or if he wanted to rent a movie and watch it (WITH ME), because I know that men, unlike women, are VISUAL beings and seeing turns them on.
Women, on the other hand, read romance novels....because we're turned on by the intellectual; the emotional.
There are LOTS and LOTS of women out there who read STACKS of romance novels.....do you hear their men complaining about that? No. Why? Because men (again, unlike women) are happy about ANYTHING that gets their woman in the mood, short of getting physical with another guy. A REALLY good man gets it that his woman is an emotional/romantic creature who needs rose petals, wine and dinner and dancing.
A REALLY good woman knows that her man is visual, and doesn't have a cow every time he looks at porn or another woman. Don't get me wrong.....there ARE men who are addicted to porn (not good) and men who are looking to cheat (even worse) but remember I'm talking about good men here. If you think this is obsessive, get some professional help.
What you need to have is a relationship that's so open and honest that you can talk about porn. I know, for example, that my guy is not really into porn...he thinks it's not as hot as the two of us together, but we have (TOGETHER) ventured into that little room into the back of the video store together....go with him, and it will give you some insight into what he finds hot. And he tells me when he sees another woman with my body type, and how he compares them to me (and finds them all lacking, of course..hehehe). When we see a woman in public, I sometimes point her out to him and ask him what he thinks....because I KNOW he loves ME and it's not a crime for him to appreciate some physical trait or body part.
He doesn't love physical traits and body parts....he loves ME.
So bottom line, I guess it's about whether you understand how men and women think (I recommend a book called "Why Men Don't Talk and Women Don't Read Maps"...it's phenomenal!) AND about being truly in love and TRULY comfortable with yourself and his love for you.

Because he's shy about it and is afraid you'll judge him. For a guy to watch porn is normal. And it doesn't mean anything about his feelings for you. Better that than sleeping with someone else, no?
