Should MLB establish the "General Manager of the Year" award?

The two leagues AL and NL always have the awards as "Rookie of the Year", "MVP of the Year", and "Manager of the Year". Also have the Cy Young Award and Comeback Player of Year.

I think MLB should establish one more award for team as it's the general manager. NHL has the award as "President of the Year".

If MLB has that award last year, its would awarded to Detroit Tigers general manager who helped the team to the World Series after ending the losing record seasons.

It already exists - it's called the Andrew "Rube" Foster award, and it goes to the executive of the year in each league (as decided by TSN).

Last season's winners were Terry Ryan of the Twins and Omar Minaya of the Mets.

MLB, technically, does not give out any awards. The MVPs, ROYs, etc. are voted on by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. And the Comeback Player of the Year and the already-exisiting Executive of the Year are awarded by the Sporting News.
