Sangakkara.
because he is very consistant in both forms of the game.
In Test batting, he is ranked 4.(he will become 3rd with yesterday's 200*).
He bats according to the need of the team.
Although he is an aggressive batsman, he calms down when his team is down.
He builds an inning quietly.
In wicket keeping also, Sanga is far ahead of Dhoni.

Dhoni may be an aggressive batsman than Sangakkara.
But in terms of batting technique, consistency, experience & wicket keeping Sanga is ahead of Dhoni. Also, he has contributed to the best partnership in test cricket (3rd wicket partnership-624 runs with Mahela, against SA in 2006).
So, I'd say, Sangakkara is better than Dhoni.

Sangakkara is better in my opinion because he is consist ant and a lot better in wicket-keeping than Dhoni. I believe that Dhoni got got to fame in a hurry because of the timing. When other veterans were failing to perform he score some valuable

Sangakkara has been playing for Sri Lanka for a long time and has got more international exposure as compared to Dhoni. Hence it will be unfair to compare both of them. However, if one has to compare both of them at this stage, Sangakkara is a much better player as compared to Dhoni as he has played many match winning innings for Sri Lanka and is a better wicket keeper batsman.

No doubt Sangakkara., He is very consistent in both forms of the Game. His wicket keeping also fantastic. He has been continuing his form since long time. Dhoni is also very good wicket keeper Batsman. But he is not very consistent in Test.

Sanga is more consistant and experience, and could be a hard hitter when team needed.. so he is better then dhoni but not as much extend

Dhoni off course ! Dhoni is fearless. He stands in front of wicket like a lion . He can tear apart any attack.

Overall Sangakkara is better.
For ODIs I would prefer Dhoni.
