PL,
I am proud of my freedom, while I can still have it, but with the DEMOCRATS in charge, there's no telling when it might end, unfortunately!
However, We have managed to survive since the colonies, I will say this though, Our Founders were a much more unique people than today, They were God fearing men and saw what was best for America through the Hope that only Jesus Christ can give!
We need more people like them!
God is the Hope that binds a Nation together!

The United States was formed on ideas which were largely British in origin. It took people as stubborn as the British themselves were to gain our independence.
Although many Americans are not of British descent (I am of German and Polish) we still gained from that heritage.
I am happy we are not a colony, but I doubt we would have remained one under any circumstances beyond a few years after 1776.

I luv the Brits, our revolution against the Brits and our current steadfast friendship shows that past enemies can change their views of other peoples. From the revolution, through 1812 to the British support of the Confederacy during our civil war, we have been at odds, but with the progression of freedom throughout the world, we have stood together against the evils of National Socialism (Nazis), Soviet Communism and the current trend of islamic fundamentalism. Each time our joint ideals of freedom for the individual have allowed us to triumph over those forces who wish to eliminate freedom. If the US and Britian were to ever fall, it would be a dark day for freedom on this planet. We are like two brothers who differ from time to time, but as the family of freedom, stand together!

Amen. For all of you who might be anti-British, think about this: Japan was allied with Germany against both Britain and the US in WW2 and now those former enemies are both allies. Times change. Unfortunately attitudes don't.

Thank you. I'm not doing much today. It's just my son and I and he's out of town. I went to the cemetary today and rode around taking photographs. Went to a huge flea market. Tonight I will look out my window and watch all the illegal fireworks that the welfare people in my neighborhood blow off.
