To answer the congress question for everyone. Republicans are still almost half of congress and viewed as stopping us from leaving Iraq. However it is easier to blame congress for our President's failures.

what a lot of people out there seem to forget is that prior to 9/11, bush was generally regarded as, to put it politely, 'not quite up to the job'...his numbers were not all that hot-in a purely political sense, 9/11 saved his presidency...but now people are beginning to see that his policies and initiatives are largely based on 'neocon' rhetoric and financial rewards for his backers...this used to be called 'graft'...and we also see that they don't work! he's set back progress towards middle east stability by generations...he's taken our nation's reputation as a beacon of freedom, equality, and justice and flushed it down the toilets of abu ghraib and guantanamo..he's ensured ill will towards this country from around the globe, and in doing so, compromised our security

He got the high mark right after 9/11, because the country was rallying around it's leader. He lost the approval when he actually tried to prevent further attacks by invading Iraq.

The liberal controlled media has done everything in it's power to bring the president down as it is financially controlled by those who are liberals. You will never see anything positive in the news about Bush and after awhile it does have a brainwashing affect on people. There are actually democrats who are not against him but you won't hear about that!

Ya know I was thinking the same thing about the Democratic Congress. How in the world is their opinion poll worse than the Presidents. and they've only been in power 6 months.

George W Bush has made some incredibly bad decisions in the past two-three years.

Not that I could do any better, though.

On top of that, the war has not been won.

It sucks to be an incompetent who wins elections, huh?

How many issues are on the table? If someone is unhappy with one of them, they will say they disapprove of the president.

Democrat run congress has a lower approval rate, by the way.

Our news media and their hatred of the war had a lot to do with that. If we're not careful we'll be letting our news media choose our next president. Would that be called mediaism?

I am referring to the NYT.

Because of Iraq.... and trusting Democrats.

I was against us going into Iraq, because I KNEW that the Democrats would Betray us and support the Terrorists.
Democrats always end up supporting our enemies, just like in Nam.

But since we are in Iraq, I do support our Troops & the War.
