Did you have a surgical abortion or a medical abortion? When I had a medical abortion I bled for at least a week and not only did they say this was normal but they said the bleeding could stop and start over the next 3 weeks or so. But you are supposed to bleed more after a medical abortion. I wouldn't be concerned unless it is really heavy (like one of the previous answered mentioned, if you are soaking a pad in an hour). You can always the clinic where you got it done if you want to make sure.

Are you sure that you're not confused about how long you were supposed to bleed? I believe that you should bleed from the procedure for about 3 weeks, not days. Call the doctor's office tomorrow and speak with either the nurse or doctor about it.

If you are soaking through more than one pad an hour then you need to go to the doctors. I had an abortion and the same thing happened to me. Every body is different. My best advice is...If your worried about it, call your doctor or the place that you had it done at. They will be able to tell you what is normal.

I strongly suggest you contact the person who performed the procedure and if you can't get them, contact your regular doctor and asked to be seen.

I've never had an abortion, so I don't know what is normal, I just know that your body needs to expel whatever leftover fetus material remains.
