when the time comes and they are ill or cant walk anymore, will you be able to love and care for them as they did you without a nursing home etc? how deep does your love go for them.
my mother will never have to experience a nursing home,i would be deeply in debt before i allowed her to feel unloved

soooooooooooooo much. i just lost her a couple of months ago and i still am devastated losing her. i have to refocus my life because everything that i do (or should i say i did), i did it for her.... she was sick but she was never put to a nursing/care home. i and my sister worked hard to provide for her needs...it is just unfortunate that she had to leave us... we still have our father though and we are trying so hard to ease his loneliness... we bring him to the mall, we go swimming, play bowling, etc... we don't want to lose him....

My parents will never spend any time in a nursing home. By the time my parents are too old to take care of themselves I will be a Doctor and will have enough money so I can hire the best to help me with them at home. I have worked in several nursing facilities and I would never ever put my parents through that!!

I believe in myself 99% and I leave 1% as a doubt. Yes, my attitude is positive most of the time but I have my fair share of bad days too.. Everyone does. It's just that people like to handle them differently. BQ: After rain comes sunshine! Never forget that. All the clouds that you see in the sky will eventually move on and leave a bright sky with less worries and misfortune in front of your eyes. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. It happens to make you stronger. remember that! Just don't dwell on it. Think about how to move on. Plan your next move! That's how you succeed. By preoccupying yourself with something productive. If a person has ruined your day, don't worry, he/she will eventually get it back! I am a strong believer of Karma and I've seen it work right in front of my eyes. Just keep on and think positive! Tell yourself "Everything will be alright!" ( i tell that out loud to myself whenever I feel blocked or down) The only thing you can be sure of 100% is that everything changes eventually.

I can't describe the love that I have for my parents, its just something natural and unmeasurable. Like a stain, I can never get rid of..
I'm determined to be the best daughter I can to them, make them proud and be there for them when they need me most.
They have done so much for me, and given me and my older sister a truly wonderful upbringing. I feel its my duty to give back to them the same love & care they have smothered us in!
I would NEVER ever let my parents be lonely or taken into a nursing home, unless that was what they wished to do. They mean the world to me, and I want to be at their side..through thick and thin..til death do us part!
Thanks! :-)

Same as you.. I would never put my mom in a nursing home. if she works so hard now to take care of and provide for me, I am willing to make the same sacrifices, no matter what..
My father is a different story... I don't know him well enough to know if I will be so attentive... after all you treat a person they way they treat you; in some cases anyways

unfortunalty my parents are no longer alive anymore, but I can say that I would do anything for them just as they had done for me, I love them and miss them very much. You really never know how much they really mean to you till you don't have them no more. So for the ones that are out there who still have their parents spend as much time as you can and love them too, no matter what. Cuz when they are gone you have nobody else who will care and love you like they do.

I took care of my dad while he was on his death bed and he died in my arms, as I loved him so much he was my dad and my best friend!
I wasn't so close to my mom but i stayed at the hospital with her over night to make sure she got taking care of the right way while she was in the hospital on her last few day's.
There are 6 kid's in the family and I was the 1 who my dad chose and i chose to stay with my mom, becacuse no-one else wanted to!

Your Mum is very lucky to have you, she is blessed!
Im sad to say my Dad has passed away, and I'd love to be able to say that if (God forbid) my Mum should need that kind of support I'd be there for her. BUT, I have 4 children and a husband so I can't be sure, thankfully it's not something I have to deal with just yet.
In an ideal world of course I'd be there 24/7, but its not an ideal world.....l

My mom once said she would never live with me. I never asked her why. Maybe when she is older she will change her mind. Honestly I don't care what my dad comes, but I'll make my mom happy and comfortable!
