Wife, son and daughter. The order is in relationship to bedroom location and where the exit is. My daughter has a window which exits to the roof, in the event the stairs and front door are inexcessible. The 7 cats would be on their own.

Being a fire fighter for 5 yrs, and on histories worst fire , Oakland hills, The things i would grab would be #1 a blanket , pants, #2 family, #3 cell phone and start calling fire 911,, and please dpnt open windows doors till you know source, of ignition

I am going to assume that my wife and kids are not things... so I will omit to say them... they can carry their own 3 things out.
The bloody dog follows me everywhere so I wouldn't need to save her either!

the very first thing would be my daughter, then my partner, then my budgie, i wouldn't bother with material possessions as it's not worth your life saving,
if the fire wasn't that bad i might go back in to get my insurance documents though
