AT&T/Cingular service isn’t all that its cracked up to be according to their ads. There is a local shopping center in my area, which has giant AT&T/Cingular advertising signs all over but you are lucky if you get 2 bars. They have been known to have billing issues, where your account’s bill doesn’t get processed, then the following month or two you are slammed with a bill that is twice as much, because you were waiting for the actual charges to be sent to you.

AT&T/Cingular claims to have the fewest dropped calls nation wide but T-Mobile claims to have the fewest dropped calls in the top markets such as Los Angeles, Chicago and San Diego.

Verizon claims to have the most reliable network.

If you do get AT&T/Cingular avoid Motorola phones with them.

Get the service with the best coverage/network in your area. You can check this by going to the various wireless carrier websites and seeing how strong the coverage is. It also depends on what you want to do. Do you want to just make calls and send text messages or do you want to view TV or make video calls?

at&t is not as great as cingular i'm already hating it but i do like their service because their kind when it come to customer service their drop call occur often for me but it because of my location but all i must say i love my service overall i have a family plan so i never worry about going over my minutes but that because all of my friend and family have cingular you should consider who you know and talk to the most and their phone service try to think cheap when it come to deciding who to sign a contract!!!
