In guild wars can you choose to be the luxons or the kurzicks?

also if im in a guild can i get out and go to a new one, how do you start your own guild

Your guild leader decides whether your guild is Kurzick or Luxon. If you don't like your guild you can leave at any time. Just click your name in the guild roster and choose "leave guild".

I've never tried to start my own guild. I'm much more comfortable in a larger guild. Always plenty of folks around to do missions with. There are just soooo many "kiddie" guilds floating around recruiting all day long in each town. Most of these will dissolve in a few months after going nowhere.

If you want to start a guild, I'd encourage you to first play thru the game and get a lot of experience with it. Do you have what it takes to lead a successful guild? If so, go for it! There should be NPCs in the major towns that you can talk to that will create a guild for you.
