I have never made a quilt before. I am an avid sewer and embroidery enthusiast. Looking for a beginner quilt with a duck ? Thanks. Have A Ducky Day

My very first quilts were applique that I designed myself. Just draw a big duck on paper and when you get it so that you like it, cut it out and trace on fabric. Make sure you leave a quarter inch for turning. I did a blind stitch by hand because it's invisible and enjoyable to do. On very narrow sections like flower stems, I used cellophane tape instead of pins and just pulled up the tape a tiny section at a time before stitching.
