The kitchen and bathroom are the best places to put that money. Those are where women really take a hard look, and its usually the women that give the yes/no on buying a place.

Kitchen, bath and light fixtures. But, have a Realtor do a walk through. Flooring and paint maybe a better option with your limited funds.

Stainless appliances and steam showers are very popular right now. I don't think you can do both with $2,000. What condition are your appliances in now? If they are a distraction in the kitchen, replace them. The kitchen is usually the linchpin that makes or breaks a home.

Good luck to you!

Kitchen and bath. Your idea sounds perfect. We have been house hunting for 4 months and a bad kitchen can break the deal, a bad kitchen and bath makes us feel like we wasted our time seeing the house.

Good luck!

#1 Kitchen - although cabinets and surfaces are more important than the appliances
#2 Bath
#3 Flooring

If it was a house or something with a yard, #1 would be landscaping.

Floors and windows are normally great upgrades but with the amount of money you have maybe consider the color of your walls. It will sell faster if you have a neutral color.

Your idea sounds great. If you can afford it adding a stainless steel sink would complete the look.
