Not jealousy, players hate him because he's a dirty player...dirty meaning he doesn't follow the rules. Truth be told I don't see why it isn't legal to try and knock the ball free, you can barrell over a catcher. Another reason could be because he cheated on his wife...though I hear that's a common practice.

Honestly A-Rod is a great player. He's worth every penny he's paid especially to a GOOD team, which the Yankee's haven't been since they signed him.

You can't say there jealous though, players embrace other players who do well. Few people hate Big Papi, he hits them out all the time. What about Albert? No haters there. It's his attitude, and as has been said before his arrogance.

I believe most real baseball fans don't hate A-Rod. They may not like the team he plays for but most fans respect A-Rod and give him credit for his abilities. There are always those few that will say they do hate him for one reason or another but the same would be true for most other players as well.

I used to be a big supporter of A-Rod. Then I watched him try to hit another player's glove to make him drop the ball. It was childish. Then this year he made sure to stomp on the inside of 1st base in case Justin Morneau was too close. That was an intentional attempt to injure the reigning AL MVP. These incidents show me that A-Rod doesn't deserve the respect his abilities warrant. He's a poor winner and a poor loser.

Well I live in NY. People are upset that he's paid so much money and disappears in playoffs. He comes across as a phony person when he does interviews. He gives generic responses which make him look like a robot. It dosen't help when he tells the media he is hated because he's beautiful, rich, and bi-racial!!! But the money factor more than anything. It's hard to live up to a 25mill a year contract. Thats what he's measured by!

He plays for the Yankees. If you are the best player on the most hated team, nobody would like you. I don't care if it was Vlad there is no way he could be liked. I hate the Yanks and I hate A-Rod.

A lot of if is jealousy. It's common to hate those who have so much. Sports fans are notoriously fickle. Hometown fans booed Ted Williams and Mike Schmidt during the height of their careers

haha they're jealous..why wouldn't they be? i mean, he leads the MLB in homers and RBIs.
howeverrrrr they're especially upset because other fans always made fun of yankee fans for making a "stupid deal" and expecting a lot out of it. now that a-rod is doing great again, fans of other teams are upset that he's doing stuff to help the yankees now.

I personally like A-Rod...always have...always will.

Did you hear his wife wore a t-shirt to a Yanks game that said ***** you on the back of it? It's hard for me to conceive that A-Rod is married to such trash.

Because he constantly does bush league stuff on the field. He also searches out other bush off the field, cheating on his wife with some stripper in Toronto.

Isn't it ironic that he's having one of his greatest seasons, yet the Yanks basically suck *** this year? I'm lovin' it.
