I have just re-formatted my computer, and I don't want to do something else that might influence the performance of the machine.

No, it will not affect performance. The only thing is that you'll have to login yourself to complete the boot to the desktop. Autologin can do that for you, but it's counter-intuitive.

virtumonde is confusing to eliminate you could desire to be a working laptop or computing gadget expert like me to realize this. i'm no longer stunned that kaspersky failed at this. i think of kaspersky may well be between the greater constructive products, besides the undeniable fact that this is surely no longer the final, and has much greater domicile windows integration then i helpful as hell could want. you like an authority to wrestle this one or purely format your confusing force and reinstall the working equipment. I purely circulate to those extremes if I dont have a backup plan and the an infection has taken over my equipment data.

adding the password just slows how fast you access stuff...doesn't do anything to the computer itself...

if it's only you on the pc, do you really need a password? I wouldn't do it if your the only one using it. If not, go ahead use a password.

No, it does not slow down your computer. It just creates a tiny encryption which secures your computer.

I'd do it.
