You have or had a right to bring you cause to your city council, however, if the project is already underway it looks like you missed your opportunity and they voted and it is so.

most communities will post plans on the site several months in advance before building things that affect the community, On these plans it will state who you can contact if you have issues. Also in the court house or where ever your community post this kind of stuff you will find a listing of all projects. Be aware of Deadlines and other details, because if you are too late you will not be able to have a say. Also money talks, If there is going to be a lot of money coming into your environment because of this stadium no one will listen to you.

It is usually psted in the paper anytime someone gets a permit. And almost always, if not always, sports stadiums have many meetings. A lot of times because they use our money to pay for them so you can pay $150.00 to go see an event!

All planning applications have to be publicised in the local press and in the locality, e.g. posted on lamp posts etc. This is an opportunity for local people to object to what is planned/proposed. Your question seems to indicate that you have left it too late. If you did, I am sorry.

All planning applications are posted in the local papers and will also be attached to convenient points around the development area. You will be invited to object if you wish. (In the UK).

If you attending council meetings when they were held, you would know.

You are not entitled to a personal notification.

The best way to know what is going on in your city or town is to be involved....

Yes of course you can object.

But in this wonderful democracy, your request will be noted, duly ignored and they will do what the hell they please anyway.
