The person who updated Benoit's Wikipedia page claims to have based what he wrote on internet speculation.

They were there, hiding in the closet of the Benoit household. :P It's open sourced. Anyone is allowed to edit is and it's a hot topic, so as soon as someone got word they put it in.

people can post on there without information actually being confirmed or verified...they have good information, but sometimes false information leaks on there
