He didn't ask them to go, he told them to go. As if they had a choice in the matter. Yes some people do think Iraq was a direct threat to America, probably the 28%'s though. I do not trust anything they say about Iran regarding terrorists and attacks in Iraq. They seem to be looking for a place to lay the blame. They are counting on the fact that the majority of Americans are ignorant about the Middle East though and to just blindly believe what they are told.

For the security of the USA, I think not!! He went to help him and Cheney gain funds in their retirement. It was about the oil and the oil only. The government claims that it was Al Quieda that start 9/11, so why the hell did we go into Iraq? This administration has done nothing but lie to us repeatedly. When the elections come I will not vote for any incumbent that has voted against my wishes.

Our intelligence was manipulated by Bush and his cronies in order to justify the unprovoked attack on Iraq. Bush knew that Iraq was no threat, but chose to invade because they had planned on doing so in order to take out Saddam since Jan. 2001, when they first took power. According to "The Price Of Loyalty", a book written by Paul O'Neill (the first U.S. Treasury Secretary under Bush) that Bush first had meetings in Jan. 2001 to figure out a way to justify a plan to go into Iraq and take out Saddam. 9/11 was the best thing to happen to Bush, with regards to his aspirations to attack Iraq. For afterwards Bush steadfastly (and purposely incorrectly) stated that Saddam and Al Qaeda were both linked and each was responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

It had nothing to do with bad intelligence - it had to do with bad people framing the attack by wording a report to suit their needs.
Cheney wants to attack Iran; he is truly a loose cannon and should already be behind bars for all of his shady dealings.

I don't know. This is one of the topics that has created more mixed emotions inside of me than any other. Could we really have been that misinformed? And if so, how?

This is THE KEY issue that has torn this nation apart and to be honest, I take no sides on this because I no longer know where I stand.

Obviously you are an unpatriotic islamofascist enabler.
Serioulsy,
There is no way I could ever believe anything coming out of this administration..but if we provoke an international incident with Iran leading to war, watch for your civil liberties during this temporary emergency.

No need to worry folks, we will re institute the Constitution as soon as possible.

Just one more lie out of an inept presidents mouth. Why would we believe him... he has lied about everything else.

He sent the troops to Iraq to get Saddam.. period... and the fact that Cheney's Haliburton could come along for the ride was just icing on the cake.

Perhaps Bush thought that wa all essential.. it wasn't.

Bush is full of it. They had eyes on the invasion years before they conned a traumatized nation into doing it.

Thanks to Bush, terrorist recruitment has gone up 500 fold. Thanks to Bush, Iraq is now filled with terrorists.

Who knew that when the neo-cons came up with "fight then over there", they planned to introduce a flood of terrorists to someone else country.

Read my lips, and repeat after me slowly .... Saddam Hussein HAD (say it loud) weapons of mass destruction. That wasn't so hard was it?

Now say this - Saddam Hussein USED (say that loud too) Weapons of mass destruction. I know you can do it. It may hurt a bit but just try.

Now say the whole truth - Saddam Hussein Used the WMD's on Kurds in his own country. Saddam was supporting terrorists and training them.

Ok now that you said that much, say this - George Bush Didn't lie. Terrorists are a threat to every free country in the world. American Soldiers have FOUGHT and DIED to protect other countries and America has asked for nothing more than enough land to bury the dead heroes who died to save freedom for the people of those countries.

Ok, run along you did well.

America is this world's last best hope. Stop being a puppet for the father of all lies.

Precisely. That is, if you think they actually believed Iraq was a threat. But, if they didn't, and said they did, then we can't trust BushCo anyway. Sick, sick, sick.
