Look at Jack Nicholson and Robert de Niro. They are not attractive looking men yet they are famous and popular. It's all about personality and charisma.

Who the heck's that? I thought you were talking about Chaka Khan at first. I am still in the 80's. I'm 25 and feel old now that I don't know abou this famous and popular ShahRukh Kahn. :(
Oh ok he's not really an Americanized Indian person. The only Bollywood person I'm familiar with is Aishwyra Rai (spelling?).
