About an arm & a leg... maybe more. A teen doesn't need a WRX anyhow. Try a Impreza 2.5i or 2.5RS (depending on year, as it's the model below the WRX) instead. More than enough power (175 hp) and cheaper to insure as well.

Wrecks per mile driven Scion sedan has the most and is hardest to insure for kids. Subaru WRX STI.. Is considered a high performance car get ready for a very high insurance bill. Drivers education to get your licence is a joke. I also reccomend "Drivers Edge" driving school for car control first. Then some track time to get your speed on the track where it belongs.

I gave john a thumbs up,he is right on,but I have to add 2 years ago I lost a friend had known most of my life.he was an scca racer, ice racer, etc,he was driving his wrx and giving it quite a workout when he came over a curvy hill and ran into a broken down flatbed truck.the truck was 1/2 way off the road and had he been going the posted limit he could have avoided it.my advice to you is to keep driving like this on a track

if you care about your kid, start them off with something under 200HP for their first car. Just MHO.
