It is kinda personal....some people do things for each other on daily basis and that shows enough appreciation...So I guess a big dinner once a month or breakfast in bed after a months of arguing wont sweeten things up....But anything goes ....iron his shirt or make him a cup of tea after a tiring day at work...

myself ,i would rather hear a heartfelt conversation of how much i was appreciated rather than anything material.if they are a material type of person and feel thats how you show youre appreciation then do youre best to get something he would use ,not something that would just sit around and collect dust. men arent that complicated and just want something they are into.
