Well, I am asking questions about it now because even though I've been using answers for months, I just today had my first 2 violations. I asked what the deal was but no response. Apparently it is faster to dish out a violation than it is to elaborate on it.

I asked why I got a violation and the reply was 2 links to the terms and guidelines which did not clarify at all. Oh well. Not gonna sweat it anymore today. Thanks for the input.

Hit the customer service button and ask them why you got the violation. If you don't hear back from them you can appeal it. If you know it was a violation, just try not to do it again or stay off for a week so that you don't have too many at one time. When it gets up to 3 violations, you might ought to cool it for awhile. They can suspend your account including your email account if it's a free account. Some take an alternate ID for just answers so their main account won't be taken.

I got a violation for writing" I thought that happened after 2 days", tell me where the violation is. They don't bother to check if some one red flags you they just go ahead & send you a violation notice. Don't sweat it

Depends on what u get from it here. If you write back, respond to violations I find it helps. Some posters are just angry or abuse trigger happy. Happy 4th.

It's not a matter of whether or not you are doing anything against the rules anymore. If someone consistantly reads your questions and disagrees with you they report you. Don't let them win my quitting!!!

I see most of your questions are about this issue!
Yahoo gives violations and they don't even tell you for what, and then they often don't know what they are talking about, especially if you are not using derogatory language and threatening to kill people!
It's their site, so they do what they want with no explanation except you violated community guidelines, whatever that is!!
Sounds American to me!

Welcome to the club. It's not yahoo, it's the yahoos on yahoo. I imagine I get violated from both sides, I'm an independent.
