Big fan of Dead Can Dance here. I saw Lisa Gerrard in concert a couple of months ago and she sounded and looked great.
The Cocteau Twins are also one of my all time favorite bands. I wish Elisabeth Frazier would release a solo album.

I'm not really that well educated on them but what I've heard I like. Also like Cocteau Twins, Bauhaus, Banshees, Birthday Party etc.

Oooh, yes. Saw them in concert back in '95 or '96. Lisa Gerrard has a truly spine-tingling voice. No "studio magic" necessary!
