you usually have to ask your phone company if they offer the service. And its usually pretty cheap (mines $15/mo)

I don't know where you are but the local cable and/or utility company is the best place to check. And ISP is an Internet service provider. You area must have Fiber optoce cable and not just phone cable. The general rule is, If there are more cows than people in your area you are unlikey to have it or get it anytime soon. Fiberopticable is very very expensive to buy and lay. Utility companies will only spring for it when there is a demand. I use Cox

Go to www.dslreports.com. There is a place to enter you zip code and get a listing of providers. Don't be afraid to shop around. Some are higher priced for install or their speed is not as advertised. There are reviews on the same site. Last resort is a Satellite system. Very expensive to get and higher priced for service. Slightest error on alignment and it doesn't work. Next in order is Clearwire. A little pricey for the level of service actually delivered.

You need to contact an ISP .

Usually your local cable company or your local telephone company will offer high speed service. You can go to their web sites to see if it's available in your area. There are also several ISPs that will work with the telephone company or cable company to offer you high speed services.

There are a few locations that are starting to run fiber optic cable that you can use for high speed internet.

Check with providers in your area. I would start with your phone company (Verizon, etc.) or your cable company to see what high speed services they offer. DirecTV also has high speed internet service (www.directv.com).

You can also check www.dslreports.com for information on broadband (hi speed internet).

You have to find out what is available in your area, and sign up for that. Check out link below if you don't know what is offered by you:
