Their are a lot of people who say he took black people songs and brought his white version to the mainstream because whites wouldn't buy black music

Yes it's a known fact he did. Also his dance moves he learned from Black people, there was a biography about him which stated that he would see Black girls and guys dancing and he was amazed by their moves so he would have them teach him and he would imitate it on his own.

I wouldn't say he stole, But he was definitely influenced by it. It may have been true that many whites wouldn't buy black music, but Elvis did open the door for whites to become more comfortable and start buying black music.
