OK, this might seem like a stupid question, but I was just wondering - I've just finished writing a story, but I'm considering continuing with it because I've thought of some more things I can add. However, I'm very satisfied with the ending I have and I don't want to potentially ruin it by writing more. So I don't know whether or not I should continue with it.

Can anyone help me with this dilemma? Thanks a lot!

That's where talent comes into play. Use your gut instinct to tell you what to do, what not to do, what to leave in, and what to leave out.

If you are satisfied with it then there should not be any dilemma. But if you want to add then add them is a separate copy and see which one sounds/reads better. If you don’t like it after adding the extra stuff then discard the later and just be happy with the first one. Also let some one else read both the stories and see which one they like the most.

I think you should make two copies of this story. The original and the one with the extras. Read them over and decide which one is better. Also have friends and/or family read them and tell you what they think.
Sometimes, you can add other parts to the story without altering the ending. That's what I do when I'm unhappy with the story and/or have more ideas in my head.
Good luck!

I'm with her on this one! Kudos to you for actually starting and finishing a story. I wish I could get my lazy bum to write the 7 part series I've had stuck in my head since I was 16! What motivated you and how did you stick with it from start to end?

i'd try posting it on like Quizilla.com or something. Usually people who read it will ask for more or they'll congratulate you on the awesome ending.
If you have written it by hand write CONTINUED?
and then write w/e else on another page
if you've typed it wirte it and save it as (title)2
