I was just interested after reading a book about his conquest. Could you please include stuff like if any major historical events may have not happened. Thanks!

He did die prematurely. But I know what you mean. Nothing much would have changed, I don't think. The middle east at that times was a massive trade route, and the east and west joining of cultures would have still happened.

Way different - - - -imagine no Roman Empire? Had Alexander not only lived to be Sixty but had been able to sire a proper parcel of sons & daughters and to instil in them his views on statecraft & war and more esoteric things like law & civic responsibility - - - then maybe 'we' of the year 2007 would speak not of Greek Culture that beagt Roman Empire, instead we would speak of The MACEDONIAN AGE - - - an Alexander the Second guided to power by an astute father and equally planting sage wisdom in the mind of grandson Alexander the Third and perhaps great grandson Alexander the Fourth. Well it could have been incredible.

And having witness the stupidity of his father's dealing with his own son, Alexander the Great would have been a Great father, taking his son into his councel early and empowering with revolutionary ideas on statecraft. Pure speculation, yes, but intriguing. Instead of an East and West, there would have been a Central Empire bridging Asia and Europe, The Macedonia Empire.... Hmm

Will cut & paste my other answer to your query. The big Non Event would have been Rome,,,,

Actually 33 wasn't that OLD - - - even by standards of the time - - - the number one things that failed to occur as a result of Alexander's 'early' death was the question of succession. IF Alexander had lived he might have given The World an Alexander the Second and perhaps a Third and a Fourth. For reasons known only to Alexander he failed to father a gaggle of children when he was in his late teens & early twenties.

Conceivably even in turbelant Macedonia a ten or thirteen year old 'Junior' would have succeeded to power and Alexander's Empire would have continued to runs. With Alexander's DNA and guided by his trusted lieutenants such a Son may have held the Empire Together. Just as Europe witnessed hundred to three hundred year Dynasties so it may have been with Macedonia & Greece.

In fact if Alexander had lived another ten or twenty years all of us would stop using the word GREEK. Alexander was a Macedonian who spread Green culture & ideas. IF ALEXANDER had lived long enough to actually RAISE A SON, instil in him and perhaps brothers & sisters, Alexander's ideas about statecraft & warfare - - - then there might have been a MACEDONIAN AGE and perhaps there would have been No rise of Rome.
