They're really not!
Just because I'm Brazilian, some people think I only use those types of clothes.
If you go to a Brazilian mall, you will only find like 1 or 2 stores that sell those type of clothes.
I mean, once I told my friend (she was white) that I bought a bunch of cute brazilian jeans went I visited Brazil and she looked at me like a was a slut. Then she told all of her other little white friends, and they all kept staring at me.
Ugh! I hate these little white preppy girls that keep on acting like I'm a little slut.

2. even if i did where clothes like that, that wouldn't mean i am a slut
i just got stressed out with the white girls... not all of the are like that though. one of my best friends since elementary school is white.

i get your point about the media and all. i respect your wife, but i also think if she wanted to use tight clothes she should be able to, without dealing with prejudice.
The media is the main reason for this. It has brainwashed these peoples minds and taught them that brazilian women are sluts and deserve no respect.
but women like your wife are what the majority of brazilian women are like.

Because it's all they see on TV. Similarly, people in other countries see US movies and think if they just look at an american woman they'll be in bed with them 5 minutes later. My wife (mineira) dresses very conservatively just because she doesn't want people here (US) to think of brazilian women as sluts. But tthe answer to your question is: thank the media who couldn't care less about reality, they only want to have more viewers and more money. Hot brasileiras (face it tem muitas lindas em brasil) will attract more viewers than a show about feijoada.

Vanessaa, please do not think that all of us are as ignorant of the world as your friends were.
Eu não falo português muito bem ... but I've only been to Brasil for three business trips. In my experience, I can echo what you said about Brasilian clothes.

Brazilian women do only wear those type of clothes. In all the videos I've seen they do. At least for a while and then they take them off.

Honestly i dont think they are slutty i just think that if it shows everything then it kind of is but you really cant lable it as slutty.

first u shouldnt care about what they say and if they dont respect ur culter or whatever they r not ur friend. u should just be like "hey u might think thats the only cloth we wear ur wrong! and u should know because u r my friend" get the point ok then i hope i helped.
